ZZ Plant Care Instructions:

Light: ZZ Plants tolerate low light conditions but prefer indirect, bright light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.

Watering: Allow the top of the soil to dry out before watering. ZZ Plants are drought-tolerant and prefer slightly dry conditions. Overwatering can lead to root rot.

Soil: Plant your ZZ in well-draining potting mix. A mix designed for succulents or a regular indoor plant mix works well.

Temperature and Humidity: ZZ Plants are adaptable to a wide range of temperatures but prefer temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C). They are not sensitive to humidity levels and do well in average household conditions.

Fertilization: Feed your ZZ Plant with a balanced liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce or eliminate fertilization in fall and winter when the plant is not actively growing.

Pruning: Trim yellow or damaged leaves using clean, sharp scissors. ZZ Plants naturally shed older leaves, so occasional leaf drop is normal.

Repotting: ZZ Plants prefer to be slightly root-bound, so repot only when the plant has outgrown its container. Repot in the spring if needed, using fresh potting mix.

Pests: ZZ Plants are relatively pest-resistant, but occasionally, they may attract mealybugs or spider mites. Inspect the plant regularly, and treat any infestations promptly with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
